Hurrah for Force India!

After the departure of Super Aguri, the battle against the wooden spoon became a little dull. With the extensive rule changes of 2009 pissing all over the form book, everything has become a little less predictable.

  • Midland F1 2006: 0 points.
  • Spyker F1 2007: 1 point, courtesy of Adrian Sutil at Japan.
  • Force India 2008: 0 points.
  • Zero points may sound a little dismal, and the easiest target to beat, however in the spirit of setting realistic targets, consider 2008:

5 races where both cars finished.
2 races where only Sutil finished.
    6 races where only Fisichella.
    5 double retirements.

In this context, the 2009 Australian GP was a good race for the team, beating both Ferraris and generally staying out of trouble. One minor pit incident, but that'll be easily forgotten!

Here's hoping for more success for the team previously successful as Jordan.
